The ceiling fan & light remote control kit has a dimming function. The light dimmer is compatible with incandescent light bulbs and some dimmable LED lamps. However, most LED lights and all CFL lights are non-dimmable, and the light dimmer will only support the ON/OFF function in that case, which may cause flickering when using the dimming function.
