What is a C-Wire? A C-wire, also known as a common wire or a "continuous wire", is an electrical wire that provides a constant source of power to a thermostat or other HVAC.
Furnace Part: Put G-wire connected to C terminal, use the black jumper wire to connect G and Y or W (if you need heat, connect to W, otherwise connect to Y).
Thermostat Part: Connect G-wire to C terminal on the wallplate. G terminal on the wallplate is blank.
